A life devoted to teaching: Jay Colker’s Adlerian legacy
Jay Colker ’80, D.M., may have officially “retired” in 2017, but his work and his passion for teaching have not slowed down. Nearly a decade later, Dr. Colker remains deeply engaged at Adler University, serving as an industrial and organizational psychology faculty member — still in the classroom, still mentoring students, still driven by the same purpose that has guided him from the start.

Elvita Kondili, Ph.D., is finishing a yearlong international collaboration to help future teachers in Northern Albania with something that is not always found in educational curriculum: how to hold a classroom together when culture, language, and regional identity threaten to pull it apart.
Adler University awards Seed Grant to faculty member Michael Madson, Ph.D.
Adler University has awarded the Chicago Seed Grant to Michael Madson, Ph.D., clinical psychology professor and substance use emphasis coordinator, whose research project is focused on preventing deaths caused by alcohol.

Adler University faculty have opportunities to advance their scholarship and research with support from foundations, federal agencies, and partner organizations. Competitive funding opportunities are coordinated through the Office of Institutional Advancement’s grants manager, who assists faculty in identifying and pursuing external awards.
