Academic records
Academic records document a student’s progress and completion of their program of study. This page is designed to allow students and alumni of the Chicago, Online, and Vancouver campuses to easily access or request the information they need, whether it’s an official or unofficial transcript, verification of Enrolment status, or degree conferral.
Official transcript
An official transcript is a comprehensive record of your academic achievements and coursework completed. It bears the official seal and signature of the Registrar, indicating its authenticity. Official transcripts are typically required for official purposes such as applying to other educational institutions, seeking employment, or professional licensing.
If you are an alum of our Toronto, Montreal, or Fort Wayne partner institutions, please follow the steps for the Chicago and online programs to obtain an official or unofficial transcript.
Only transcripts sent by priority delivery come with tracking numbers. The tracking information is sent to you by email once the transcript has been mailed.
Chicago + online programs
Transcripts for Chicago and online programs are released in compliance with the federal Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Academic transcripts and the information contained in academic transcripts may not be further disclosed without the prior written consent of the student identified by the transcript.
These transcripts are ordered and paid for through the National Student Clearinghouse. Students have the option to order official electronic or paper transcripts.
When ordering, students must provide written electronic consent, and all orders must be paid for with a credit card. Complete details, including applicable fees and shipping options, are available on their website.
Transcripts will not be released until all financial obligations are satisfied. This includes any outstanding balance, library materials, or library fines.
Vancouver programs
Transcripts for Vancouver programs are released in compliance with the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). Academic transcripts and the information contained in academic transcripts may not be further disclosed without the prior written consent of the student identified by the transcripts.
To order, complete the Transcript Request Form and email it to the Vancouver registrar’s office. Transcripts cannot be ordered through Clearinghouse.
Unofficial transcript
An unofficial transcript provides a snapshot of your academic record but does not bear the official seal or signature of the institution. It may be used for personal reference or informal purposes such as reviewing coursework or monitoring progress toward graduation. While an unofficial transcript is useful for personal use, it may not be accepted by other institutions or employers requiring official documentation.

Enrolment verification
Students and alums can request official letters from the Office of the Registrar verifying their education. Please complete the Enrolment and Degree Verification Form for the campus you attended.
For lenders, employers, background screening firms, and third-party requestors:
Third-party requests are made by individuals or entities other than the student who attended Adler.
The National Student Clearinghouse provides degree and Enrolment verifications on behalf of Adler University. Requests will not be taken or provided via phone or email.
All verifications for third parties are provided in compliance with the federal Family Educational Rights (U.S.) and Privacy Act and the Personal Information Protection Act (Canada).
Degree Conferral
Degree conferral is the official process through which your degree is awarded and recorded following the successful completion of all program requirements. Understanding the timing and requirements helps ensure your degree is conferred as expected.
