OVERVIEW

Dr. Reed is an assistant professor and associate director of training in the Clinical Psychology Department. She has worked in various capacities in forensic and clinical psychology throughout the Chicagoland area, including Cook County Juvenile Probation, The Forensic Centre, and Illinois Department of Corrections. She is trained in fitness to stand trial evaluations and has provided fitness restoration services to individuals in pre-adjudication pursuant to Illinois Law. Additionally, she has worked in private Practise, where she provided neuropsychological testing as well as individual, couples, and family Counselling. In her career as a professor, she has taught various courses, including Ethics, Diversity, Treatment of the Juvenile Offender, as well as Forensic Report Writing and Testifying. Dr. Reed now serves on the Association of Chicagoland Externship and Practicum Training (ACEPT) Executive Committee in the position of secretary. Additionally, she is a member of the Illinois Psychological Association Ethics Committee. Her scholarly interests include community activism, the psychology of criminal Behaviour, Issues within the LGBTQ+ community, religious trauma, public policy, and psychodynamic theory and Practise. She earned her doctorate and master’s degree in clinical forensic psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
