Writing sample
For the Ph.D. in industrial and Organisational psychology
Applicants to Adler University’s online Doctor of Philosophy in Industrial and Organisational Psychology program are required to submit a writing sample through the application portal. The sample should be professional or academic work authored solely by the applicant.
Acceptable writing samples include the following:
- Publication.
- Thesis.
- Essay.
- Paper.
These materials should have been previously submitted as an assignment or a professional publication and should be a minimum of five pages and no more than 20. If your sample is more than 20 pages, please submit a section of it that meets the requirements.
Applicants who are unable to locate an appropriate writing sample may instead respond to the following prompt:
- How do you define industrial and Organisational psychology?
- How is industrial and Organisational psychology connected to your future career goals?
Writing samples must be treated as a paper that would be submitted within a graduate course and meet the following requirements:
- 5-6 pages in length, not including a title or reference page.
- Use APA format.
- Include a minimum of three scholarly references, appropriately cited.
