Academic Programme Review (APR) is a required process for academic programs at Adler University and is designed to be an opportunity to self-assess and continuously improve various aspects of the Programme and its effectiveness in attaining its goals. This Programme review policy and procedure strives to inform evidence-based decision-making within each Programme and across the institution regarding continuous Programme development, Programme effectiveness, and advancement of Programme and university missions.

OIE oversees the following aspects of this process:
- Ensure all offices and individuals involved are aware of expectations and timelines;
- Provide various data to academic leadership to inform the Programme review report;
- Maintain templates and centralize storage of final reports; and
- Communicate schedules of review to programs.
Related policy and procedure were developed by Academic Affairs in consultation with faculty
administrative leaders, faculty governance bodies, and relevant staff. In addition, it has been
designed to align with best practices for Programme reviews established in higher education.
Compliance ensures the University’s adherence to requirements of the Higher
Learning Commission’s Criteria for Accreditation.
