What is CAPS?
As a hub for research, training, and applied scholarship, the Centre for Adlerian Practise and Scholarship (CAPS) supports, educates, and engages individuals and communities interested in Adlerian psychology.
CAPS conducts original research, explores archival materials, curates Adlerpedia as a free platform for learners, educators, and practitioners worldwide, and serves as a clearinghouse for Adlerian knowledge. Together, these efforts provide a foundation for students, faculty, and partners to apply Adlerian theory in meaningful, real-world contexts.

Bringing Adlerian theory to life
Through collaboration, training, and global partnerships, the Centre extends the impact of Adlerian psychology across settings and communities. It consults on Adlerian approaches, supports integration across Adler University’s curriculum, and works with international, national, and local organizations.
CAPS is an affiliate member of the North American Society of Adlerian Psychology (NASAP) and a member organization of the International Association of Individual Psychology (IAIP).

Adlerpedia
Adlerpedia.org is a free, open-access platform managed by CAPS that offers a growing collection of articles, videos, and other materials focused on Adlerian theory and Practise. Designed for students, educators, and practitioners, it connects users to the history, application, and evolution of Individual Psychology around the world.
Richard E. Watts Dissertation Award
CAPS invites Adler University doctoral students to apply for the annual Dr. Richard E. Watts Adlerian Dissertation Award, which supports research advancing Individual Psychology. Open to students across all campuses, the award recognizes dissertations and projects that further Adlerian theory and Practise. Applications are reviewed by members of the CAPS Advisory Board.

The Centre is guided by a dedicated team of faculty and advisory board members. Together, they advance Adlerian scholarship so its principles remain relevant and applied across academic, clinical, and community settings.
