Presented by Joy Malterre. Moderated by Marina Bluvshtein.
A child’s healthy mental development is rooted in their sense of belonging in the family. Children who know they belong will, in turn, recognize the responsibilities of what it means to belong to a group. A sense of belonging blooms into a strong desire towards social interest. Positive Discipline parenting classes offer experiential activities for parents to practice strategies they can use in the home to foster belonging and social interest. This short workshop will include a few examples of these activities. Come see the application of Adlerian theory in action as it pertains to day to day parenting strategies.
