Dr. Anderson is the director of training in the APA-accredited training program housed in Adler Community Health Services in Chicago. She brings her previous supervisory, educational and job experience to inform assuring quality training, maintaining accreditation standards and supervising the Adler Community Health Services team.
Prior to joining Adler, she conducted extensive research, community and clinical based work in a variety of settings working with mostly Black individuals in the Midwest, West Coast and Mid-Atlantic. She is a licensed clinical psychologist with expertise in mixed methods research training and work. Her passion is non-dominant models of mental health with an emphasis on African-centered perspectives.

RESEARCH + OPPORTUNITIES
Two lines of research interests will continue to develop and grow. One, an emphasis on including alternate paradigms in understanding health and wellness, especially for Black people. A second line of inquiry is an emphasis on understanding and promoting wellness and retention amongst students of color. Concentrated effort on collaborative model building for quality applied training remains a natural line of inquiry for the work being conducted at ACHS.
