Dr. Wang is a counselor educator, quantitative researcher, and methodologist with more than a decade of experience in teaching, research, and clinical training. His expertise spans appraisal and measurement, career counseling and coaching, psychiatric rehabilitation, and counseling people with neurodivergence and different abilities. A licensed professional counselor (LPC) and certified rehabilitation counselor (CRC), he is recognized for integrating evidence-based practice with innovative approaches to counselor education.
At Adler University, Dr. Wang serves as associate professor and director of training for the Doctoral Program in Counselor Education and Supervision (DCES), where he teaches courses in research methods, appraisal, and doctoral internship seminars while providing supervision and support to doctoral students.
Before joining Adler in 2023, he was an assistant professor in the Department of Counseling, School, and Educational Psychology at the State University of New York at Buffalo, and he directed the clinical rehabilitation counseling master’s program from 2022 to 2023.
