Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) and Adler University have established a new partnership to expand graduate study opportunities for KPU students.
The unilateral pathway is available to KPU students who hold a bachelor’s degree from KPU and seek to pursue graduate-level programs at Adler. KPU students will have access to both master’s and doctoral programs in five areas: clinical psychology, counselling psychology, industrial and organizational psychology, art therapy, and psychology of health and wellness.
The partnership, announced May 7, provides expedited admission to programs offered at Adler’s Vancouver campus for students who meet entrance requirements.
“KPU’s new agreement with Adler University greatly expands opportunities for our students,” says Dr. Amy Jeon, Associate Vice-President, Academic pro tem at KPU. “By establishing a clear and accessible pathway to graduate studies at Adler, KPU graduates are able to continue their academic journeys and prepare for careers that drive meaningful change in their communities.”
As a private, non-profit graduate institution, Adler specializes in psychology, counselling, and mental health programs for students pursuing careers in behavioural health across both public and private sectors. Adler’s expert faculty and personalized support will provide KPU students with graduate programs grounded in community engagement and applied learning.
“Adler strives to advance global health and well-being through education and partnerships that address systems-level transformation,” says Dr. Brad O’Hara, interim provost at Adler University. “The partnership with KPU reflects a shared commitment to student success and building strong post-secondary pathways to develop future clinicians prepared to support communities.”
