David Sinski is the Executive Director of Heartland Human Care Services, a subsidiary of Heartland Alliance for Human Needs and Human Rights. Mr. Sinski joined Heartland in October 2012, and leads the team in carrying out their mission to achieve freedom from want, fear, and injustice for people marginalized by poverty, displacement, or situations of vulnerability by developing and providing a continuum of services that meet basic needs. The spectrum of services include developing affordable and supportive housing, strength-building, human rights advocacy, and providing opportunities for positive change.
David came to Heartland Human Care Services after many years of experience working with youth and social service programs. At After School Matters, he spent over ten years in various capacities including Chief Officer of Strategy & Innovation, Program Manager, Senior Program Director and Executive Director. Prior to that assignment, he served as Director of Youth Development Programs at Alternatives, Inc., and had previously worked at Mujeres Latinas en Accion to deliver programs that addressed domestic violence, parenting, youth development, immigration issues, and leadership development.
David holds a B.A. from Marquette University and an M.A. from Northeastern Illinois University.
