Michelle Anderson, Ph.D.

Dr. Anderson is a native Chicagoan with work in academic and community settings in every region of the continental U.S. Her clinical and scholarly experience and interests include health and mental health of the Black Diaspora and community based participatory and activism research. She is a co-author on several articles and book chapters relevant to African American mental health and has written for public consumption in the South Side Weekly and Truthout.org. She has delivered numerous presentations related to African centered approaches to health and well-being.

Dr. Anderson joined Adler in 2019 and has coordinated DCHC work in settings relevant to youth and developmental trauma as well as primary care and health psychology. She became the Director of Training in 2022.
