A Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), clinical supervisor, and published scholar, Dr. Bonino Sobol has extensive experience serving the Latino/a community in high-need areas near Chicago. Since 2019, she has operated a private practice, following years of providing psychotherapy to clients transitioning from inpatient services.
Her recent scholarship includes a publication in the Journal of Humanistic Counseling and a presentation at the Illinois Counseling Association’s Fall 2024 Conference on reproductive identity, infertility, and donor conception. Earlier in her career, Dr. Bonino Sobol worked in business operations and information technology before completing her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision at Adler University in 2018. Her dissertation examined counseling students’ belief in the medical model of mental illness in relation to empathy, self-efficacy, personality, and theoretical orientation.
