OVERVIEW
Prior to his role as assistant professor in the Clinical Psychology Department, Dr. Kaiserman worked for more than 15 years in clinical practice as a generalist working with children, adolescents, adults and couples. He considers himself an integrative psychotherapist who combines humanistic, existential and cognitive-behavioral techniques. Over his more than 15 years of practice, he has supervised dozens of students and early career psychologists and psychotherapists. Despite the joy and meaning he derived from relationships with clients and supervisees, he found that he has taken the most satisfaction from teaching ethics at the University of Ottawa from 2020-23. That experience drove him to switch his career focus and move into teaching at Adler University full time in 2025.
