OVERVIEW

Dr. Shah is an adjunct faculty member and dissertation chair in the online Doctor of Philosophy in Organizational Leadership at Adler University. She holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership, a master’s degree in Community Counseling from Loyola University Chicago, and a bachelor’s degree in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery from the University of Mumbai. Dr. Shah is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), National Certified Counselor (NCC), and a Fellow in Community Health Center Management (CHCEF). With more than 20 years of experience in healthcare leadership, behavioral health, quality, compliance, and organizational development, she currently serves as associate director in the Standards Interpretation Group at The Joint Commission.

Dr. Shah is an independent consultant, speaker, and author of the bestselling book “From Gaslighting to Truthlighting.” She is known for integrating leadership, mental health, and organizational strategy through her Truthlighting™ methodology, which helps leaders foster psychological safety, trust, inclusive workplace cultures, and effective communication. Her research interests include talent management, promotability, reducing workplace bias, and leading diverse and global teams. She is passionate about wellness, yoga, meditation, travel, and multicultural learning, and is proficient in Gujarati, Hindi, Urdu, Marathi, and English.
