OVERVIEW
Dr. Elgie currently serves as the director of training at Adler Community Health Services (ACHS) Vancouver, where he is responsible for preparing doctoral and master’s level psychological interns for their entry into the professional workforce. Prior to this role, he held the position of clinical team leader with the Ministry of Children and Family Development, where he provided oversight for clinical staff, including psychologists and mental health therapists, within the Community Mental Health team in Tri-Cities, British Columbia.
Dr. Elgie possesses expertise in addressing acute and complex mental health concerns in adolescents, including intervention for substance abuse and psychosis, as well as in adults. In addition to his institutional role, he maintains a part-time private practice in Vancouver, and he has recently extended his services to include a location in Richmond. Dr. Elgie offers in person and online psychotherapy and support to adolescents and adults facing a broad spectrum of mental health challenges.
