Joshua Brooks has over 10 years experience in a combination of areas that include Restorative Justice, conflict resolution, violence prevention and intervention, community organizing, Nonviolence training, workforce development, program design and implementation across Chicagoland. He earned a dual degree in Justice Studies and Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in Criminology at North Eastern Illinois University. His earlier work involved implementing restorative justice and proven violence intervention and prevention models in 2 Chicago Public Schools. Later he served as Assistant Program Director at Manufacturing Renaissance – coordinating the Young Manufacturers Association which provided employment readiness, youth leadership and community engagement opportunities for youth and emerging adults. Joshua currently serves as the Restorative Justice Hubs Coordinator through Adler University’s Institute on Public Safety and Social Justice.
