Your statement of intent is a key part of your application for admission. It provides an opportunity to reflect on your experiences, articulate your goals, and demonstrate your readiness for graduate study. Take time to review your writing carefully for clarity, grammar, and structure, and consider asking a professor or colleague to provide feedback before submitting.
Requirements
In a 2–3 page, double-spaced essay, not in a letter format, please address the following:
- Discuss your personal and/or professional experiences to date.
- Explain how this degree will support your academic and professional goals.
- Describe why you have selected Adler University.
- Reflect on the Adler University mission statement, as it relates to your interest in leadership within your field. See mission statement below.
- Identify any challenges you may need to overcome to complete the program.
- Share any additional information that will help us assess your qualifications.
- If your undergraduate GPA is below 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale): Please explain the factors that contributed to your GPA, the strategies you will use to be successful, and how you plan to maintain at least a 3.0 in the program.
