“Adler reminded us that we heal and grow in relationship. Belonging First Methodology™ builds on that truth, giving leaders a practical way to measure and design comfort, connection, contribution, psychological safety, and wellbeing so people don’t just fit in, they succeed through belonging.”
OVERVIEW
Andrea Carter, M.A., is an organizational scientist and founder and CEO of Andrea Carter Consulting and the Belonging First Methodology™. For more than 18 years, she has helped leaders across sectors translate neuroscience and data into practical tools that improve culture, performance, and wellbeing. Carter’s research focuses on measuring belonging through five indicators: comfort, connection, contribution, psychological safety, and wellbeing, and on closing the gap between averages and the experiences of underrepresented groups.
Carter has led large-scale culture studies, advised executive teams, and contributed to thought leadership as a Forbes Council member and award-winning consultant. At Adler, she integrates Adlerian principles of social interest and community feeling with evidence-based leadership practices so that belonging becomes infrastructure rather than a slogan. Carter is also a mom and storyteller, deeply committed to helping the next generation inherit workplaces that heal more than they harm.
