OVERVIEW
Dr. Cummings is an adjunct professor in the Master of Psychology in Health and Wellness and Master of Arts in Industrial and Organizational Psychology programs. She earned her Ph.D. in Curriculum, Teaching, and Learning from the University of Toronto and has held leadership roles, including Associate Dean of Faculty Development and Scholarly Funding at Yorkville University and Chair at University Canada West. She has also developed and taught a wide range of graduate and undergraduate university courses. Dr. Cummings aims for students to develop a high level of critical thinking and knowledge. She wants students to know that she is highly approachable to support their learning. As well as teaching, Dr. Cummings also develops courses, reviews capstone projects, and develops special projects and curriculum. Her current research expands on her interests in blend/hybrid teaching and learning, critical thinking, and second language learning/teaching curriculum and methodology. Dr. Cummings will co-author a new book about English curriculum reform and teacher preparation in the age of GenAI to be published by Routledge in 2026.
