Dr. Mehdian is an adjunct professor at Adler University and the University of British Columbia and is an associate professor at University Canada West. She is the recipient of the UBC Educational Innovation Award, recognizing her significant contributions to higher education. With a background in education and linguistics, Dr. Mehdian is passionate about artificial intelligence and its transformative potential to enhance human-centered learning experiences while addressing its ethical implications. She is currently collaborating with Al in Education at Oxford University (AIEOU), an exciting interdisciplinary research hub exploring artificial intelligence in education based at the Department of Education, University of Oxford. Additionally, she is a member of UNESCO’s Greening Education initiative, reflecting her commitment to sustainability in academic settings. Dr. Mehdian is dedicated to fostering meaningful dialogues that bridge science, ethics, and sustainability, aiming to inspire transformative practices across diverse academic disciplines and communities.
