I am very happy that I have the opportunity to be a faculty member in Counselling Psychology in Vancouver. Walking alongside students and teaching the next generation of psychotherapists is really important to me. I do my best to meet students where they are, and invite them to take the next steps in their own education and career goals.
“By centering art as a language of healing and connection, I prepare students to lead with compassion, creativity, and cultural humility – elevating dignity, voice, and well-being in the lives they touch.”
“Practice brings learning to life.”
“Teaching has been my interest and passion since I was an undergraduate student. I have always encouraged students to engage with the course materials meaningfully.”
“The only person who is educated is the one who has learned how to learn and change” – Carl Rogers
“For what then matters is to bear witness to the uniquely human potential at its best, which is to transform a personal tragedy into a triumph, to turn one’s predicament into a human achievement.”- Viktor E. Frankl, Man’s Search for Meaning
“Counselling, or psychotherapy, is a calling, with its students possessing an inborn wisdom. Teaching is helping students use this wisdom to be in service of another, be it for reducing pain or accessing potential.”
“The path to growing and flourishing as a human being is through continuous learning, and everyone has the innate ability to absorb and apply knowledge.”
This belief is the cornerstone of everything I do as a Leadership practitioner, consultant, and professor. I see my role not as someone who simply transfers information, but as someone who creates sacred spaces for learning and self-improvement. When I witness students discover their own capabilities and watch them apply new insights to transform their lives and work, I’m reminded why this calling chose me. It’s an absolute honor to facilitate these moments of growth and to be part of each person’s unique flourishing journey.
“My commitment to lifelong learning and striving for excellence in teaching has led me to connect with students in a positive learning environment and prompted me to direct them toward their pursuits in psychology and counselling and making an empowering impact in the lives of their clients.”
“As a student-focused educator, I empower learners to think critically, grow with confidence, and thrive in an inclusive environment that values their voice, potential, and lifelong success.”
