Dr. Ingram joins us from Walden University where she served as the Associate Vice Provost of Academic Affairs. In this role, she oversaw the Office of Academic Affairs – leading services and products for over 10,000 students, managing budgets and teams, directing faculty recruitment, and serving on the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) accreditation team. Before this role, she served at Walden as the Associate Vice Provost for the School of Lifelong and Experiential Learning (2019) and as the Dean (2017-2019), Executive Director (2012-2017), and Associate Director (2012) for Academic Residencies.

Professionally and personally, Dr. Ingram has advocated for social justice and supported diversity, equity, and inclusion. During her tenure at Walden, she served on or led committees focused on creating diverse and inclusive work environments and classrooms, resulting in several initiatives within Walden’s strategic plan. Beyond the academy, she has worked for BIPOC and LGBTQ civil rights for over 20 years – including co-founding a grassroots organization, producing documentaries, advocating for equitable land use, and educating for voting rights.

Before joining Walden, she held leadership positions in learning and organization development at Laureate Education and Intel Corporation. In addition, she worked as an information architect and technology consultant at the University of Baltimore’s Center for Community Technology Services and a part-time instructor at Portland Community College.

Dr. Ingram regularly presents on learning management system implementation, learning design, and online education. She earned a bachelor’s in English and education from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia. She earned her master’s in educational policy and leadership from The Ohio State University, and a doctorate in information and interaction design from the University of Baltimore.

Dr. Ingram lives in Atlanta, Georgia. She volunteers with the Georgia Senior Caucus and the City of South Fulton. Outside of work, she enjoys forest bathing, waterfall hiking, and wine tasting in the North Georgia mountains. Her hobbies include reading, creative writing, traveling, and a taking photos of landscape and architecture.
