Chicago | Chair, Department of Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.)
As a long standing faculty member at Adler, I am involved in teaching and training students in a variety of areas. My interests include clinical child psychology, development and assessment. Additionally, I have research expertise in bilingual learning and assessment; Latinx mental health; and multicultural treatment models. In educating and training students to be future socially responsible psychologists, I encourage them to develop an awareness of the intersectionality of power structures and privilege.
In my role as Training Director for the Juvenile Justice Division of Adler Community Health Services, I am directly involved in providing clinical training and overseeing a collaboration with the Illinois Department of Juvenile Justice (IDJJ) within a juvenile correctional setting.
Adler University’s social justice mission closely aligns with my commitment to fostering socially responsible practice.
